Mint City Races began in 2005 to increase the activity level of the community while raising funds for local groups. Part of the annual Mint Festival in past years, this year the race is the weekend prior to the Mint Festival (08/14/09-08/16/09). We continue to attract participants from all over Michigan and the country - showcasing the city of St. Johns and Clinton County. Our Mint City Training Program has successfully trained participants to complete both the 5K and 10 Mile events - providing support for those who may not have considered participating on their own.

Testimonials

"The weather was perfect, everyone was friendly and enthusiastic, the treats at the end were terrific, the volunteers awesome-what could be better than that? Your team did a terrific job. Thank You. I can’t wait till next year."

"Great training program- lots of good tips & encouragement."

"Your volunteers were just great. The ice water towels were a very smart idea. Three water stands were just perfect. I’ll be back next year. it was absolutely perfect."

"I liked the fact that it was a 10 miler, that it used the “ChampionChip” timing system; the course going thru downtown with runners' names being read off and the cold, wet towels at the finish line was a nice touch."

"I liked the location & that it benefited local organizations."

"I rate the race a 10. This was only my fourth race but by far the best one overall."
